Science Engineering Technology and Mathematics Network (SETNET)
Aim
To raise interest in school science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by showing that they can lead to interesting and rewarding careers.
Background
The Science Engineering Technology and Mathematics Network (SETNET) is a unique collaborative national forum consisting of education organisations, institutions, professional bodies and charities as well as major companies established in the field of education/business links.
The objectives are:
- To develop a framework of policy and collaboration within which existing centres, schemes, systems and services can work more effectively to enhance the teaching and learning of engineering related subjects
- To focus on science, mathematics and technology as key curriculum subjects to promote good experience of industry for the advancement of education for the public benefit.
